The pockets on both sides are perfect for keeping the little syringes and thermometer organized, and the mesh front lets my son see his stuffed animals inside. It's held up well through hours of play, and the zipper hasn't snagged once.
My daughter hasn't put this down since it arrived — the zip closure and netting front make it feel like a real carrier, and she's already staged three "emergency" checkups for her stuffed animals. The bag itself is sturdy and the mesh front lets you see your pet inside, which my cat actually seemed to calm down by. I do wish the side pockets were a bit deeper to hold the larger vet tools, but for a starter kit it does the job well.
