My kid has spent every afternoon this week screwing and hammering away, and the chalk feature is a sneaky bonus—we draw little faces around the holes and then he drills them right in the eyes. The saw actually fits his grip well for a toy, which keeps him busy while I get dinner started.

The red drill clicks into the holes with a satisfying snap, and my kid has spent an hour turning the whole bench into a robot face with the chalk. Assembly took me maybe ten minutes, which felt fair for how solid the wood is.

The chalkboard face holes are the best part—my daughter spent an hour drawing a robot and then "fixing" its teeth with the included saw and spanner. The drill clicks into the holes satisfyingly enough that even I had to try it. Solid little set for imaginative kids.
