The beetroot splitting into clean halves is so satisfying for little hands, and the wooden knife feels sturdy enough for real pretend chopping. My daughter has used it every single day since it arrived and the rubber wood hasn't warped or splintered at all.
Carrot slices are cut cleanly in thirds, so my little one can “chop” them over and over without frustration. The rubber wood feels sturdy and smooth, and the veggie pieces fit together snugly enough that they don’t go flying mid-play. Definitely getting a lot of pretend meal prep out of this set.
