My kids have been staging a farm rescue story with this donkey for weeks now, and the wooden finish is smooth enough that they can grip it easily. It's sturdy, too—survived a few tosses into the toy bin without a scratch.

My three-year-old grabbed this little donkey the moment it came out of the box and hasn't put it down since—it's already become the star of our farmyard stories. The paint job is tidy and the rounded ears feel safe for little hands, which I appreciate.

The wood is smooth and nicely weighted, so it feels sturdy in small hands without being clunky. My kid has already woven it into a farm story with the other animal figures, and it hasn't chipped once after a week of play.
