The wooden animals are chunky enough that my toddler can stack them into the ark without frustration, and the pairs make it a fun little matching game for us. The whole thing feels sturdy, and I love how compact it is for our toy shelf.
My one-year-old can actually grip these little animals easily, which surprised me given how tiny they are. The ark itself is sturdy enough that she can haul it around without it falling apart, and she loves dumping the pairs out and trying to match them up again.

It's been a lifesaver for keeping her occupied while I make dinner, and I love that all twelve pieces fit back inside the neat little boat
